Henry the Green Engine Gets Out
Description
A boxed set of Four illustrated pop-up books. Each of the four hardback books are a different colour. Each cover is illustrated with a different character and scene from the story inside. The titles of each book are on the front cover and read as follows. The red coloured book has the text, 'The Flying Kipper and Henry the Green Engine.' The blue coloured book has the text, 'Thomas the Tank Engine Goes Fishing.' The green coloured book has the text, 'Henry the Green Engine Gets Out.' The yellow coloured book has the text, 'Henry the Green Engine and the Elephant'. All books are illustrated with a pop-up on every page with accompanying text. All four books can be stored in an open ended cardboard box. The box is illustrated with images of Thomas the Tank and The Green Engine. The text on the front of the box reads, 'The Thomas The Tank Engine Pop-Up Library'.

Thomas The Tank Engine and friends is based on the books by Reverend W.V.Awdry who originally wrote the stories for his son Christopher. The ITV network made the books in to an animated television series which was first broadcast in 1984. The stories are based on a group of locomotives, trucks and other railway vehicles which are given human characteristics.
