Doug Cocker was born in Perthshire in 1945. Having worked at Grays School of Art in Aberdeen, in 1990 Cocker decided to become a full time sculptor. Doug Cocker's work inspired by the natural landscape and symbols, architectural features and the machinery and tools of agricultural life. Craftsmanship and skilful understanding of the topography of landscape feature heavily in his work.
