Cadell, Francis Campbell Boileau
Biography
Francis Campbell Boileau Cadell was born in Edinburgh. He belongs to the group of artists which became known as the Scottish Colourists and his successful impressionistic style was influenced by the work of fellow Scottish Colourist Samuel John Peploe. Cadell had studios at 130 George Street (1909 - 1920) and then 6 Ainslie Place (1920 - 1932) where he specialised in paintings of figures, still lifes and portraits.
