Description
Hanshan and Shide are Chinese figures who lived in the Buddhist temple Guoqingsi on Mount Tiantai. Hanshan was a poet and is shown holding a handscroll; Shide was a lay monk and worked in the temple kitchen; hence he is shown holding a broom with which to sweep the floor.
