Fountain Close. Edinburgh
Description
A group of children gather inside a doorway, where a boy stands on the doorstep holding a hat. Across the road a blacksmith works in his shop, while a woman plays with a child on the doorstep further down the alleyway. The street is lined with tall buildings of flats and tenements and continues down the hill.
