Bell's Wynd

Description

Depiction of a street running alongside numerous houses, flats and tenements towards a stone arch. A group of people consisting of a woman holding a baby, a man wearing a hat and a number of children, sit in the street eating. To one side, a young girl stands against the wall of a building. The buildings are lined with windows, while one has a ladder leaning against it. From one high window a woman shakes out a sheet.
