Description
Excerpt from page "Dalrymple House - To be sold that large and substantial dwelling house and offices thereto belonging situated at the south end of Bristo Street called Dalrymple House occupied by Mr Ellis, writer. The house consists of six excellent rooms in the two principle floors besides a number of apartments in the ground and attic flats. The ground floor consists of a kitchen two capital rooms besides cellars- and might be converted into shops at a very moderate expense and without injuring the two upper floors as a dwelling house." E.E.C Feb 8 1813.
Page also includes photograph - Mr Braidwood's house Dumbiedykes Road nearby opposite Craigside.
