Excerpt from page "Chapel Street - To be sold that large and commodious and elegant house, with coach house, stables etc in Chapel Street Edinburgh belonging to Sir Hew Dalrymple of Baronny and North Berwick. The house consists of four flats besides garriets, has a beautiful parterre in front, entering from Chapel Street and a large back court with an entry from West Nicolson Street both admitting carriages." Edinburgh Advertiser May 31 1796.
