Great Cairn near Kirkmichel [Kirkmichael] Perthshire
Description
A man and his dog sit on a small mound of stones which lies at the entry point to a road outlined by a line of rocks on either side. At the other end of the demarcated road, a bigger mound of rocks and stones sits at the top of a hill overlooking the valley. Another man stands at the base of the small mound, while a herd of cattle graze nearby.

Annotation below title reads:
'180 feet in circumference, an avenue of stones leads up to it, terminated by two smaller cairns, besides a number of other small cairns scattered over the muir [?] 8 April 1834. N. B. much diminished of its original magnitude by removal of the stones.".
