A large defensive structure is situated at the top of a very steep hill. It is approached via a narrow winding path. In the foreground a couple of people walk along a shady footpath through a wooded area towards the castle.

Item is dated June 1804. Located near the town of Dollar, the castle was built in the 15th century and was an important stronghold of the Campbell Earls of Argyll. It is one of the best preserved examples of a 'tower-house castle'.
