Biography
The painter, watercolourist and lithographer Francis Nicholson was born in Pickering, Yorkshire in 1753. After his studies he spent two years in London before living in various towns in Yorkshire, finally returning to London for good. He exhibited at the RA between 1879 and 1804. He died in London in 1804.
