A view of the statue of William Ewart Gladstone which stands in Coates Crescent, Edinburgh. The memorial has a large stone base and central column upon which the statue of Gladstone stands. Around the base are statues of other figures. Behind are the New Town buildings of Coates Crescent.

Coates Crescent is situated on the north side of Shandwick Place, Edinburgh. It was designed by Robert Brown and dates from 1913. A memorial to William Ewart Gladstone by the sculptor James Pittendrigh McGillivray stands in front of the crescent.
