Mrs Siddons, Mr Sutherland, Mrs Woods, of the Theatre Royal Edinburgh
Description
Two female characters stand together whilst a male addresses them, gesticulating with his hands. The central female character appears larger and grander than her companions and is dressed in black with a long headdress. She wears a cross on a ribbon around her neck. She is comforted by her female attendant, as the man speaks. The text at the bottom of the image reads, "Eternal providence! What is thy name! - My name is Norval: and my name he bears."
