Stairs lead up to a small pavement, beyond which stand two large columned archways leading to the entrance of a stone building. A golden eagleis attached to the wall of the building, while near the arches a black, plastic figure of a pig sits.

Gladstone's Land is a 17th Century tenement building. The building itself was originally built in the 16th century. The building was set to be demolished int eh 1930s, until it was rescued by the National Trust. The National Trust now runs it as a visitor attraction.
