Description
A double image of the interior nave and other remains of Holyrood Abbey in Edinburgh shows a window frame with tracery detail still intact. Partially intact walls are around the outside and there are the lower parts of freestanding columns within the structure.

Holyrood Abbey stands next to Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh. The Abbey was founded by David I in 1128, several hundred years before Holyrood Palace. The Abbey was badly damaged during the Reformation. It was finally abandoned in 1768 after the roof collapsed.
