The church dates from the 15th Century and was largely destroyed in 1560. It was restored in 1836 and renamed St. Margaret's Parish Church. The hexagonal part with the conical roof is St.Truduana's Chapel which housed a well, which was a centre for pilgrimage in the Middle Ages. The well had a reputation for curing those with affected eyesight.
