Description
Granton gas works is laid out close to the shore line of the Firth of Forth. The two circular gasometers dominate the picture. An intricate railway network collected coal from the pile in the bottom left of the picture to the buildings in the centre where the gas was made. The site is rimmed by trees. In the far right is Caroline Park House ,a local stately home.
