View from Scott Monument showing East Princes Street Gardens, National Gallery and Edinburgh Castle
Description
A view of Princes Street Gardens, taken from the vantage point of the Scott Monument. The gardens contain well kept lawns, flowerbeds, statues and trees. In the midst of the gardens are the neoclassical National Gallery of Scotland, and Royal Scottish Academy buildings. Edinburgh Castle dominates the skyline. Near the Castle are the distinctive red and white buildings of Ramsay Gardens. The west end of Princes Street and Lothian Road are visible in the background.
