In this image Crane re-imagines the cup-like shape of the primrose flower as a lamp. He also continues to espouse the concept of unity in design through the placement of the text. In comparison to other illustrations the text isn't at the top of the page. This complements the idea of the Evening Primrose lighting a beacon for the aid of her floral community as the light is shown to stand above all else.
