Description
One banner for the Incorporated Trades of Leith. The banner is made of blue silk with a yellow wool border and painted decoration on both sides. The pole sleeves is blue wool at the top and bottom. The fringe is red wool along the bottom edge. The title scroll cartouche reads, 'UNITED 1550'. The centre panel features a painter's palette surrounded by tools of various trades - paint brushes, dividers, saw, hammer, chisels, set square; at bottom, a seal with the Leith coat of arms hanging from a chain, and a half laurel wreath. There are poles at either end of the banner with gold painted, turned ends. The banner has a gold silk cord with tassels at the top and bottom
