Scars on the City: Edinburgh in World War One was an exhibition at the Museum of Edinburgh from February to June 2015. The objects displayed here all featured in the exhibition. Through these captivating wartime relics, you can experience Edinburgh as a city engulfed by war. Excitement and patriotism mingle with fear and sorrow as the War touches everyone, from school children to soldiers, munitions workers to objectors.

The exhibition showcases the social history collections of the Museum of Edinburgh and the People's Story, together with a fascinating range of World War One toys and games from the Museum of Childhood collection.
