Description
This print depicts a scene inspired by Murasaki Shikibu's 'Tale of Genji' that takes place within the interior of a lavishly decorated home. In the centre of the room the seated Prince Mitsuuji (Prince Genji) speaks to a kneeling young man, whilst two women watch from behind a screen door.
