The Cotter's Saturday Night by Robert Burns
These illustrations by John Faed vividly tell the story of Robert Burns' poem, 'The Cotter's Saturday Night'. Life was hard for a cotter and his family. Their daily objective was to provide food and shelter for their families.
Ernest Levy
Ernest Levy was a holocaust survivor who after the war settled in Glasgow where he became a leading figure in the Scottish Jewish community. After his death in 2009 a collection of his books and manuscripts were donated to Edinburgh City Libraries.
